Day One:

Arrival from Home.

Arrival in Addis Ababa: Upon your arrival in Addis Ababa, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the city. Overnight and dinner in Addis Ababa

Day Two:

Addis Ababa City Tour

After breakfast, we will embark on a city tour of Addis Ababa. You will visit the National Museum, where you can see the famous fossil of Lucy, a 3.2 million-year-old hominid. We will also visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Ethnological Museum, providing insights into Ethiopian culture and history.

Day Three:

Bahir Dar and Lake Tana:

After breakfast, we will fly to Bahir Dar. Upon arrival, we will visit the Blue Nile Falls, also known as “Tis Issat.” In the afternoon, we will take a boat trip on Lake Tana, visiting the ancient monasteries located on the islands.

Day Four :

Drive from Bahir Dar to Gonder:

After breakfast, we will drive to Gonder, known for its impressive castles and historical sites. We will visit the Royal Enclosure, which includes the famous Fasil Ghebbi castle complex. You will also explore the Debre Berhan Selassie Church, known for its beautiful frescoes.

Day Five:

Excursion to the Simien Mountains National Park:

Today, we will embark on a day trip to the Simien Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning landscapes, hike to viewpoints, and spot unique wildlife such as Gelada baboons and Ethiopian wolves.

Day Six:

Fly to Lalibela:

After breakfast, we will fly to Lalibela, home to the famous rock-hewn churches. You will spend the day exploring these remarkable churches, carved out of solid rock, and learn about their historical and religious significance.

Day Seven:

Axum:

After breakfast, we will fly to Axum, the ancient capital of the Aksumite Empire. You will visit the Stelae Park, the Church of St. Mary of Zion, and other archaeological sites that showcase the rich history of the region.

Day Eight:

Visit Tigray Rock-Hewn Churches:

Today, we will drive to the Tigray region to visit the rock-hewn churches. These churches are carved into the cliffs and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. You will have the opportunity to explore some of the most famous churches in the area.

Day Nine:

Danakil Depression:

After breakfast, we will drive to the Danakil Depression, one of the hottest places on Earth. You will witness the otherworldly landscapes, including the Erta Ale volcano and the colorful Dallol sulfur springs. Camping overnight in the Danakil Depression.

Day Ten:

Departure:

After breakfast, we will drive back to Mekele and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your North Ethiopia tour.
